week 9 (spring)

Next post for today,
As I said earlier, been ages since last time I wrote smthg in this blog.
How's life, guys? My life in here is... so far so good, better than before, I could said, hehe..
Time goes by so fast, unknowingly, this week is the last week of term 2 (spring), exam is coming, and I'm going back home again in a week. Easter holiday!
Had quite lot of new experience in this year, I started to cook, well yeah I can't cook at all at first, but after experiencing, trying, trying and keep trying, I could said my cooking skill has improved a lot than before, lol :D Yeah, I started to cook some easy dishes and the result is not bad. Oh ya, this term I become more often hang out with my Indonesian seniors as well. Not all of them, just some who are under, postgraduate and Phd student (Kak Haikal, Kak Dhani, Bari, Kak Firza, Kak Qisha, Mbak Desy, Mbak Latifah, Ci Elyta, Chery and me) We met like almost once a week. Cook Indonesian dishes together then ate together. I helped them to cook, started from peeling shrimp's skin, frying shrimp crackers, and frying tahu isi (I don't know what is this called in English, lol), etc..  Had a lot of fun cooking with them, tried lots of new things like frying tahu isi which is not easy at all! and it does improve my cooking skill a lot, haha,, ya over all I was happy, hanging out with them, talk about this and that.
Like last Friday, we cook together, had dinner, then ended up karaokeing til 3 am in the morning! lol. At first I didn't join them singing in the kitchen, but after we moved into Ci Elyta's room yeah we all singing together and I found out it was so fun! We sang all genre of songs, started from Indonesian, Korean, and English. Funny is while singing Indonesian sad old songs. We can't help to laugh in the middle of singing even though the song is so blue because of the lyrics!!! lol the lyrics in indonesian is kinda cheesy when you listen to it properly so we just can't help to laugh at it, lol.
And,,, talking about education, this term don't know why I found out it was passing by quite fast. Had 3 subjects this term: FES, econ, and accounts. Well the reason why I felt it passed by so fast maybe because I don't feel that lonely anymore, compare to before, and because the tutors for my subjects in this term is so great!!! I love all of my tutors for this term, and this term might be the best one over 3 because of them, well who knows? hehe but yeah, so grateful and I do enjoy it a lot then unknowingly time just passed by so fast.
Although I just stayed in the city this term, found it is more enjoyable rather than last term when I traveled to Edinburgh and Manchester.
Did some interesting activities as well last month, cultural society held an event on campus so our Indonesian society open a booth to promote Indonesian culture. It was on my mid term holiday, and I'm not going anywhere for saving last month, so without any intention to help Kak Haikal taking care of the booth at first, I ended up taking care of it until the very last day. Just passed by it on Monday (the first day) then learned how to make Batik for the first time in my life. Yeah funny cause even in Indo I never learn how to do it and I think if I wasn't here now I wouldn't know how to do it until now. After learned how to make it, because there are only few ppl who are available to help (the others are busy) and it's only me who is free for the whole day. So on Monday and Tuesday I spent my day at Alexandra Square in the booth teaching native students how to make batik, lol. It's very interesting, get to know a lot of people, taught them about one of our culture in the middle of the deadly weather, :| lol
And,,, yeah, that's all though, this last 2 months goes by so fast, had a lot of fun, not feeling blue that often anymore, haha, spent my day to study, watch Cheer Up Mr Kim, watch Shinhwa on youtube, lol, cooking, groceries, thinking about this and that, and hanging out sometimes.
Oh ya! Just accepted my offer letter from Lancaster Uni few days ago. And guess what? I got Business Studies Bsc offer! hahahah
Felt disappointed at first cause I didn't get either my first choice (BBA Management) or second choice (Finance) I was upset cause I thought I didn't get accepted because of my score which is not very good. But after talking with my friends, found out that the truth is it's very difficult to get into BBA Management even though your score is good cause the competition into that degree even between native students is very competitive, so there is hardly ever international student get into that degree.
Well thank God though I was gotten into Business Studies though it was neither of my choices, I considered about it at the very first time but because it was in the same department as Management so I just leave it and go for Management. Thankful cause at least I was allocated into a degree which is not bad at all, and even good! Can't imagine if they made me get into Business Analytics & Consultancy or smthg like my other friends. And, finding out that lots and lots of my friends were not accepted into their first choice too make me feel slightly better. Maybe the competition to get into LUMS is getting harder and harder nowadays??
So, will start my first exam tomorrow. Wish me luck! lol, going home next Thursday, spend 2 weeks in Jakarta then will come back to Lancaster again to finish my last term in ISC.
Good luck for all who are having exam in the upcoming days, and Happy (upcoming) Easter Holiday guys!!!! Have a pleasant one :]

Hello again guys :D been ages since my last post, hahah,, just visited a friend's blog and saw photo of her house, which is similar to mine and it makes me feel missing home instantly :( remembered my first holiday back home last december, feels so good even though was just lying on the ground, sleeping in the morning because of jet lag (time difference) on the first few days of holiday.. Yeah I'm just 10 days away from home though, can't wait to go back home (again)! So blessed that I could go back to my home country every holiday <3
